After planning and lusting for months, Karl, Jona and I headed to PL Shang on Valentines for a much needed break. What other way to celebrate Valentines than binge on food and sweets!
We trooped to Shang after shift, headed to CMG first and bought this ballet flats that I have been lusting for months now. I finally had time. Geez! We didn't have breakfast yet so we were famished and later found ourselves headed to Pepper Lunch. We were the first customers on Valentines! Yes, we were that early! Haha
The timing was perfect because PL had a KISS ON THE LIPS promo where couples kiss in front of the cashier and they get a molten lava cake! Yum! So naturally, I made Jona and Karl kiss, after minutes of laughing nonstop because they were practicing and it was so funny! It kinda took a long time ordering coz we can't make up our minds on what to eat. I settled with the meat and hamburger combo. Karl got the teriyaki chicken and jona got the pepper rice meal.
The food was GREAT!! I admit I'm very maarte when I eat and I make comments on every detail, but seriously when I was eating my Hamburger and meat combo..I was speechless! I was floored on how savory, tasty and yummy the food is! I loved how I was free to do my thing with the cooking part, I enjoyed tossing the meat and veggies and be like a chef for once. And the sauce...my goodness..it rocked my world! I seriously wanna take home the condiments! Haha Panalo ang PL! So worth the wait! The lava cake was amazing..the three of us shared the dessert including the Shake shake kani salad and the ice cream and man we were so stuffed!
This is not a paid review but you guys gotta try Pepper Lunch!

I've been stressed a lot lately, due to recession, outbound sales have reached a slump for the past few months. Aside from craving food, I badly wanted a haircut. I always find myself going to the salon for a haircut and coloring when I'm stressed out. I guess a lot of women do that huh? My hair became dull from excessive rebonding and coloring. I haven't had a decent cut in 4 months so a few inches of hair isn't too bad.
Too bad Bench Fix was full so Aztec Urban Salon by Davines was the perfect place to go. I had tried their services before and so far I had been satisfied. The outcome? I felt lightheaded and stress free. Cheap thrills to beat stress.
I got new glasses too. Thanks to Kulyan Optical for my sponsor. Lol

Funny how being sad leads me to weird food cravings. It kills me especially when I crave for something so bad but I can't find or buy one. Lately it's all about sushi! Eric and I went to Something's Fishy in Libis a couple of weeks back and tried their dinner buffet. I was famished as usual, had not eaten lunch yet, I woke up around 6pm grabbed a quick bath and headed to Libis. They had a great buffet as usual. I had these on my plate for dinner.
I went nuts when I saw that they had a sushi bar..complete with all kinds of sushi's you can eat. I immediately grabbed sushi, tempura and california maki. I made my wasabi sauce and feasted on these babies. Yum!!
Despite being stuffed from all the eating, a meal would not be complete without dessert right? We were supposed to grab frappucinos from Starbucks but we found ourselves headed for Dairy Queen for a cuppa Blizzard ice cream.
Then we went home a few pounds happy lol.

Rin on the Rox
American talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres has invited two talented Filipino “bathroom singers”, Rin on the Rox, to guest on her popular show.
Rin and Roxanne of “Rin on the Rox,” who have become famous on YouTube, are best buddies who do cover songs inside their bathroom. Rin or Erin Paula, 20, and Rox or Roxanne, 21, are based in California, USA and dream of having a career in singing. “Recently, I found these two singers on the internet. These two girls are singing in the bathroom. So they are fantastic. If you are watching right now, please, please come on the show if you are watching. We have a wonderful bathroom here… But seriously, you are great. So please, please come on the show if you would like to,” DeGeneres said in a recent episode.
They mentioned in their YouTube channel “hiphoprox” that they are proud to be Filipinos. Rin and Rox's blog here. I saw them singing on Ellen last Monday and boy they are good! I say move over Charice, these ladies are gonna be superstars too!

OFW Fired for Washing his Bum
A TOWNSVILLE man has been sacked for `un-Australian' toilet habits.Amador Bernabe, 43, uses water to clean himself instead of toilet paper. Mr Bernabe, a machine operator on a working visa from the Philippines, said it was his culture. But on Thursday he got the shock of his life when his foreman followed him into the toilet questioning his toilet hygiene.
Mr Bernabe said his employer Townsville Engineering Industries (TEI) sacked him yesterday for not going to the toilet the Australian way. Read here
