Dvd marathonI miss these guys. I must go out and buy dvds asap!
We will be having a long weekend next week to cap off the Thanksgiving holiday in US. Since we are US based market, off to a holiday we go too! Yay! This means dvd marathon and food trip for me. Or maybe I can find time to go home to Tugue. My cousin who works in Connecticut just arrived with her son whom I haven't seen yet, just in pictures. MJ is going to have his birthday too so this means bonggang celebration from Lola. Family occassions like these makes me wish Tugue is just a stone's throw away from Manila.
I am still waiting for the new season dvd's of Bones and Chuck. I am only updated thru fansites and episode guides which is crap. I want the real thing! Oh how the long wait is killing me!

Gossip Girl Episode 10: Bonfire of Vanity
On this week's Gossip Girl, love is in the air for Serena, who is a glow with feelings for Aaron the artist. Also glowing? Eleanor Waldorf! Yes, Blair's mother has become totally smitten with Cyrus, a man Blair imagines to be as charming as Cary Grant ("Maybe a dashing stepdad is just what I need").
And because Blair is turning 18, she's determined to remain as poised as as possible, a la Grace Kelly, and welcome Cyrus with open arms. B's never the one to crack under pressure, she remained fashionably calm as she plotted to break up the lovebirds. Her ivory Bill Blass ruffle halter and black Giuseppe Zanotti satin pumps was the perfect mix of fun and elegance. Blair's statement top needed a simple background; pairing it with a sophisticated short skirt and diamond earrings was perfection. Need I say more?
Jenny's homeless, again. How many GG episodes will end with sad Jenny schlepping her stuff around the streets of New York with only her eyeliner to keep her warm? Are you guys tired of poor, sad, shaggy-haired Jenny's tantrums? She basically runs around New York bumping into very powerful people (Lily, Eleanor, etc.), crying her eyes out because her dad won't let her quit school. Call the wambulance, Jenny!

OMG!! Kim here is HOTNESS!!!
From a goody good girl comes supermodel hotness! Yep, Kim Chui has definitely arrived. Although she looked so stick thin here, thinner than she used to be. Gawd, woman you gotta eat!
  She looks like she has been over photoshopped here though. Oh well, who hasn't right? But dang, I love her cheekbones!!!

My ultimate guilty pleasure today. Combine all the clichés in Philippine TV drama and what do you have? Iisa Pa Lamang. What really keeps me watching this formulaic drama are its unforgettable lines and the performances by Cherry Pie Picache ( as Isadora) and Angelica Panganiban (as Scarlet). I was literally glued to tv these past few months because of this which is one of the few soap operas that I eagerly watch aside from Lobo. Now that it has ended just a few hours ago, I was saddened because I no longer have a reason to to watch soaps again. Well, that is until something interesting cooks up on tv lol
Here are some lines that made me speechless.
Scarlet: Pati ba naman sa pagsuswimming, naka-diamonds ka pa rin?
Katherine: Siyempre, diamonds are forever, like me!
Scarlet: Luluhod ka sa harapan ko at magmamakaawa ka na tanggapin kita ulit!
Miguel: Kumain ka na. Gutom lang yan!
Isadora: Oh aren't you excited to see me?
Scarlet: Excited? Alam mo bang mas excited pa akong magpunta ng dentista at mag pa root canal kesa ang makaharap ka?
Isadora: Ikaw naman, nagpapaka-funny. Kung ang lahat ng bulok na ngipin ay kasing ganda ko, o di wala ng bibili ng toothpaste… I'm so witty
Scarlet: Ano ba talagang pakay mo? I'm sure hindi naman ang kapakanan ng dental industry ang pinunta mo dito di ba? Business? Monkey business?
Isadora: Oo, at napaka disenteng monkey business — Politics.
Isadora: Ano ba Katherine, wala na akong panahon makipag-balagtasan sayo. Tapos na ang linggo ng wika! Hindi ka ba naabisuhan?
Katherine: Pagod ako. Huwag kang loloko-loko. Baka gusto mo ihampas ko tong bag kong mas mahal pa sa'yo!
Isadora: Sabagay, ako rin eh, pagod makipaghampasan. Next time, ok? In fairness ah, ang ganda ng damit mo. Pahiram minsan ha.
Scarlet: Anak ako. Dugo't laman.
Katherine: Anak ka lang. Asawa nya 'ko. Lahat ng pag-aari ni Martin, pagaari ko na ngayon.
Scarlet: You're just a gold digger in red!
Scarlet: Damn you!
Katherine: Same to you, anak. Same to you.
Scarlet: Gusto ko lang malaman mo na lahat nang 'to, hindi 'to permanente. Lahat nang iyan, babawiin ko iyan sa 'yo!
Katherine: Sige! Maglaro tayo, agawan ng yaman! Pero kung ako sa'yo, kakabahan ako, kasi ako sanay sa hirap. Eh ikaw?
Scarlet: Sinungaling ka, Katherine. Sabi mo dati, 'Sige, maglaro tayo. Agawan ng yaman.' Pero iniwan mo saken ang yaman. pero inagaw mo lahat. Ang ama ko. Ang asawa ko. Ang ama ng anak ko.
Anyways, I hated how Iisa Pa Lamang ended tonight. It became cheesy and sappy. I expected more from the show but alas they have failed me. I had a lot of plots in my mind picturing how it would have ended. Although I also wanted Scarlet to have a happy life too but I wanted Katherine to end up with Miguel and Rafael should have been the one who died. lol I wish there will be a Book 2: Revenge of Isadora! Man, that would have been great! Cherry Pie Picache rocked the show! new generation of kontrabidas should be like her. People will never forget Isadora's crazy lines. I even find myself using these at work when I am so mad at agents not making transfers haha
Here's a quick shout-out to ABS-CBN..I want a Book 2 of Iisa Pa Lamang! lol

I can't believe my boy is getting bigger now. He's quite a handful too! Very active and makulit na tlga. Sometimes I wish he'd still be the cute and adorable little puppy who does nothing but to sleep and eat. Seeing Maki grow day by day is rewarding and also stressful sometimes especially now that he's teething. All shoes, my havs, magazines are all tucked upstairs away from him. He even chewed on my new shoes which made me go berserk! Kung di lang cya cute alamang naihagis kna cya lol
Like any dog owner, I still love him to bits. Aww..lol
