HONG KONG - Who is the "iPhone Girl"?

Pictures of an Asian factory worker found on a new iPhone sold to a British customer have generated keen discussion on the Internet about her identity — and her fate.

The three pictures, posted on the Apple discussion Web site MacRumors.com, show a young Asian woman working on what appears to be an assembly line for iPhones. Dressed in a pink striped outfit and hat and wearing white gloves with yellow fingertips, the young woman now known on the Web as the "iPhone Girl" is shown smiling and making victory signs as she poses next to an iPhone.

The MacRumors.com user who posted the photos last week, identified as only "markm49uk" from Kingston-upon-Hull, England, said in a posting that one of the pictures showed up on a new 3G iPhone when the iTunes program was launched. News reports say the woman may work at a factory run by an Apple contractor, Taiwan-based Foxconn Technology Group, in the southern Chinese boomtown of Shenzhen.

Calls to Foxconn spokesman Edmund Ding went unanswered Wednesday. Ding also didn't immediately respond to an e-mail from The Associated Press seeking comment. But the South China Morning Post on Wednesday quoted another Foxconn spokesman, Liu Kun, as confirming that the young woman in the pictures works for Foxconn. Liu said workers testing the device took the pictures and may have forgotten to delete them, the Post reported.Dubbing the mystery worker "China's prettiest factory girl," China's Southern Metropolitan Daily on Tuesday quoted an unidentified Foxconn official as saying the woman was not fired.

Apple publicist Jill Tan said the company had no comment.

ONITSUKA TIGER by ASICS

Run like a Tiger

ASICS is an athletic equipment company that started in 1949 when Kihachiro Onitsuka began manufacturing sports shoes at his home in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Asics produces shoes designed for football, running, tennis, squash, martial arts, cricket, golf, wrestling, track & field, cross-training, volleyball, cheerleading, lacrosse, and for many other sports.

Initially the company was known as Onitsuka Tiger, and was famous for their Mexico 66 line of shoes and their distinctive stripes. In 1977, Onitsuka Tiger merged with GTO and JELENK to form ASICS Corporation. Despite the name change, a vintage range of Asics shoes are still produced and sold internationally under the Onitsuka Tiger label.

The name of the company "ASICS" is an acronym of the Latin phrase "anima sana in corpore sano" which translates to "a healthy soul in a healthy body" or "a sound mind in a sound body".[1] Since 2007 there has been a larger emphasis placed on this acronym.

Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick: Man About Town
Gossip Girl's stylish star Ed Westwick has NYC-and the city's It girls-at his feet.
Two in the afternoon is not too early for Ed Westwick to enjoy a Delirium Tremens beer—or to flirt with the bartender. The actor is perched on a stool inside Chelsea gastropub the Half King and is wearing a white oxford with three buttons undone to reveal a tuft of chest hair, a pile of silver necklaces, skinny jeans and his signature facial expression. The look combines a flash of the eye, one cocked brow and pursed lips, and is the villainous trademark of Chuck Bass, Ed's alter ego on Gossip Girl. On anyone else, the stare might look creepy or impish. On Ed, however, it is both dangerous and charming. He knows it, too.

After 10 years, I was finally able to pick-up a package from a dear friend Ms. Chuvaness in Dome Shang. I was meaning to pick it up at an earlier date but since Dome opens at around 11, I decided to pick it up after my shift last Saturday.

Braving the heat was no joke since I am a night owl. So Karl and I, together with some friends from work hung out first and checked some dvd's from St. Francis and to kill time as well.

Waiting was so worth it..check out the package from Chuvaness herself!

Now, I not only have Ms. C's Theodore loot bag, I also have a PL pouch bag and PL cellphone strap! Yay! Ansaya! hehe We were famished from malling so we grabbed some food at Dome as well. Yummy!

Camwhoring time! (With Karl, Allan, Cristina, Lois, and Romil)

Super thanks again Ms. C! You truly made me happy.

This is a great idea for birthdays, as employee or customer appreciation, or really just about anything. Hurry though…this is a limited time offer and it won't be around for long.

'Visa continuously strives to develop promotions that offer value to our cardholders and provide unique experiences. As one of the official partners of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Visa is providing cardholders with the opportunity to experience the world's greatest sporting event and witness sporting history in the making.'

Olympic gold medal winning swimmer Michael Phelps talks to reporters during a news conference featuring 15 USA Olympic athletes in New York, Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008. Behind Phelps is a photograph of a VISA debit card with his name and photograph on it. VISA is one of the corporate sponsors of the American Olympic team.

Michael Phelps, officially the greatest Olympian. It arrived with the 5th gold captured and thus propelling him to his 11th gold in his career. He is one swimming machine and he is still on track to surpass Mark Spitz 7 x gold haul set in the Munich Olympics in 1972. Based on his current form, all our money will be on him to achieve this goal and attain immortality. Do not get mistaken, despite his greatness, the favourite swimmer here at UberUberMinx is still Pieter van den Hoogenband. Be on a lookout for him in the 100m freestyle final. In terms of hotness, Hoogenband beats Phelps by a mile. Even the pic below will not change our mind.

Here's other gift cards you might like.

Sushal noh? I wanna have this too! hehe

FIRST LOOK: Ellen & Portia's Wedding Album | Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi

Saturday evening was full of love, laughter, and a few tears for Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, who exchanged personal wedding vows in front of their closest family and friends at their home in L.A.

Ellen on the Wedding: 'It Was All a Blur'

In an exclusive interview and photos, DeGeneres, 50, and de Rossi, 35, share the most romantic moments of the night with PEOPLE. "What can I say? I'm the luckiest girl in the world," says DeGeneres. "She's officially off the market. No one else gets her. And now she'll cook and clean for me." Amid candles and flowers by Mark's Garden, both brides, wearing designs by Zac Posen, sat on floor pillows along with author Wayne Dyer, who officiated the ceremony. After exchanging Neil Lane rings, the couple and their guests sat down for an all-vegan menu prepared by their personal chef David Silberkleit while Sweet Lady Jane created a vegan red velvet cake for the celebration. "The love we felt from the people surrounding us, and the love we have for each other, made this the most beautiful and emotional day," says de Rossi. "And one that we'll never forget."

Entrecard
I would like to dedicate this post to Entrecard, the new way of traffic generation. Traditional business cards works wonders in the bricks and mortar businesses world and it is a must to have, but does it work in the online business? Entrecard is a platform for bloggers to exchange e-business cards. You can design your own e-business card or use their ready made templates. You display your e-business card widget on your blog and other bloggers can introduce themselves by dropping their cards using the widget on your blog. You can do the same to other bloggers by visiting their blogs and drop your card. Since the community is still not that large, you will see immediate results. Bloggers will be dropping their cards the moment your widget is up.

I got my first card within an hour or so, and within the next few hours, I have got 20 cards. When you introduce yourself , your card will show up in the blog owner's inbox. Curiosity side of our human nature will make him click on the link to see who dropped the card. So within the few hours of setting up my widget, I have 20 visitors to my blog. Just imagine the amount of traffic your blog will have when the community grows bigger. But the visitors may or may not read your blog posts. To make them stay longer, make sure that your blog has interesting posts to entice them to stay and read.

Every time you drop your card into someone's else widget, you will be awarded one credit and the person you drop will also be awarded a credit point. You can use your accumulated points to buy ads in other people's blog. Your ad will be displayed on their widget for a day. The cost of the advertisement depends on how popular their widget is (ie the number of cards that they received). Each ad will be displayed for only a day and you will have to queue up for your turn if there are more than one ad waiting to be displayed.

This is a fun way of generating traffic to your blog and does not depend on Google. Even if Google slaps your Pagerank, the traffic generated this way will not be affected. But there is some set back though. The widget does not work properly in Internet Explorer. So if anyone using IE, he will not be able to drop a card. This is a major set back and if not rectified, the service will not gain popularity. I spent the whole afternoon trying to figure out how to drop a card because I was using IE. Many would have given up in such circumstances and spend the time doing something more fruitful. The widget works fine with Firefox (see the sample of the widget at the top right hand corner of this blog)

If you have used this service, I would like to hear your comments and feedback.

You are The Wheel of Fortune

Good fortune and happiness but sometimes a species of
intoxication with success

The Wheel of Fortune is all about big things, luck, change, fortune. Almost always good fortune. You are lucky in all things that you do and happy with the things that come to you. Be careful that success does not go to your head however. Sometimes luck can change.

To Unravel A Murder, You Have To Strip It To The Bone

I dunno why suspense-medical drama gets to me. First was House, then Grey's Anatomy and Nip/Tuck. Of course, there's Gossip Girl which I know is not a medical drama but I still love. Now while waiting for the 2nd season of Gossip Girl, my dvd player is now armed with Chuck and Bones. I should have blogged about this a month ago but I guess I just forgot about it. See, I was able to snag a DVD of Chuck which btw, I have loved to bits considering that I first watched snippets of it on CS. If you love cute geeks you should watch it! hehe Now I'm starting on BONES, I watched the first 7 episodes in one sitting last Saturday so I was not able to get some shut-eye. Nontheless, the first few episodes was brilliant and took my breath away. I really am a sucker for suspense and mystery.

According to TV.com (which is btw, THE site for reality shows and series we love. They have EVERYTHING!)

Offering a new angle on the police forensics genre, Bones centres on the work of Dr. Temperance Brennan, a forensic anthropologist with an uncanny talent for extracting clues from skeletal remains. Consequently, law enforcement calls her in to assist with murder investigations when the remains are so badly decomposed, burned, or destroyed that the standard identification methods are useless. Brennan's equally brilliant colleagues (or "squints" as they're often called) at the Jeffersonian's Medico-Legal Lab include earthy and bawdy Angela Montenegro, who's created a unique way to render an original crime scene in a three-dimensional computer image; Brennan's assistant, Zack Addy, a young prodigy whose genius IQ sometimes distances him from reality; Dr. Jack Hodgins, who's an expert on insects, spores and minerals, but conspiracy is his hobby. Brennan and her team of experts at the Jeffersonian Institution have a productive relationship with FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz). While the combination of Brennan's deeply scientific methods and Booth's more intuitive approach can lead to a clash of personalities, it consistently makes for effective crime solving.

Now, I'm looking forward to finishing the full first season this coming weekend. I have Season 1, 2 and 3 so it's gonna be a bittersweet love with Bones. Hell, I might even watch an episode or 2 before sleeping. Wish me luck!

FYI. Bones is not for those who have a faint and weak stomach. Lots of yucky stuffs. Plus points to hotties David Boreanz and Emily Deschanel. What an eye candy!

The release date for the sixth Harry Potter movie, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," was pushed back on Thursday to July 2009 from its original slot in November 2008, movie studio Warner Bros. said. The eight-month change in the opening date to July 17, 2009, is expected to disappoint millions of Harry Potter fans around the world who have already been waiting more than a year to watch the next big-screen installment in the international literary and film phenomenon.

Trailers for "Half-Blood Prince" began running last week in advance of the expected November movie release worldwide. Warner Bros said it had decided to make the change to bolster its release schedule for the lucrative summer movie-going season -- a period that can account for as much as 40 percent of Hollywood's annual box office receipts. Warner Bros. President Alan Horn said the studio was also still feeling repercussions from the three-month Hollywood screenwriters strike that ended in February but has "impacted the readiness of scripts for other films." "We know the summer season is an ideal window for a family ... release, as proven by the success of our last Harry Potter film, which is the second-highest grossing film in the franchise, behind only the first installment," Horn said.

The studio said the change of date would not alter production plans for the final, two-part Potter movie adventure, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." The release date for part one is tentatively set for November 2010. "Deathly Hallows," the seventh and last story from British author J.K. Rowling about the boy wizard and his friends at Hogwarts School, was published in July 2007. The series has sold an estimated 400 million copies, and the books have been translated into more than 60 languages.

Lately, my phone (SE P990i) is getting into my nerves. I have a hard time texting coz now I have no choice but to use the QWERTY keypad. Out of the blue, my flip keypad went nuts and just stopped working! As in no response at all! WTF??!!
I haven't dropped my phone lately so I dunno the reason why the keypads weren't working this time. Its sucks coz the QWERTY pad is so small it's like typing on micro keypads. I can't even play games on my phone. Boo! It's been 3 fucking weeks and I can't take it anymore! I'm gonna have this fixed asap.
Does the warranty covers repairs and change of phone parts? I wish it does, kahit ung flip pad lang so I can use the damn phone. Eto tlga ang sakit ng Sony Ericsson flip phones eh. Oh crap!

Rapper Francis Magalona diagnosed with leukemia
By Pocholo Concepcion
Philippine Daily Inquirer, INQUIRER.net

MANILA, Philippines -- Rap musician-TV host-actor Francis Magalona has been diagnosed with leukemia and is undergoing more tests.
A son of the popular 1950s movie tandem Pancho Magalona and Tita Duran, the 43-year-old father of eight children is appealing for sobriety as he prepares to fight the disease. "I don't want a media circus. I want privacy with my family," Francis said in a phone interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer as he waited for his attending doctor. "What I'd rather talk about is how to we can solicit blood donations to replace the supply that I have consumed in the hospital."
Francis' wife, Pia Arroyo-Magalona, said her husband started exhibiting symptoms in March this year. "It was very gradual, hindi siya biglaang lumabas [it didn't manifest right away]. We don't want to use the word 'curable,' but the doctors say it's treatable."

Pressed for more details, Magalona said that he will issue a formal statement Thursday (Aug. 14) on the noontime variety TV show "Eat Bulaga" where he is a regular host.

Here's something I had read online.
More people now live alone than ever before, with more than a third of all households expected to be 'solo' by 2021. So what does it mean for the nation? Surely living on your own isn't that big a deal?
My dears, I say living alone is HARD.
Don't get me wrong, living alone can be wonderful. I watch movies and dvds on repeat and no one tells me how irritating that is. I don't have to wear deodorant. I can wear granny underpants, my hair can be stringy, and I can eat directly from containers. I have autonomy. I'm like a Lost Boy from Peter Pan. Since I have a stressful job having no one see me in a haggard mess when I get home is an amazing freedom. Also, by not having a roommate, I avoid friendship-ending arguments about house messiness (to be accurate, about how I am largely responsible for the house messiness). But since I'm a chatty, tactile person, it can also get incredibly lonely.
Since I moved into my house, I've had some massive fraidy-cat moments almost daily — people knocking on my door to welcome me to the neighborhood, annoying salesmen trying to sell me anything from tv remotes, cookies or get me to sign something. My only regular visitor is Eric who I get to see on weekends only. So I guess this means that I have practically no one that I can depend to but myself. Which is really hard because I was used to have somebody do things for me especially with housework stuffs because I'm lazy to do that.
Funny thing is I am a serial multi-tasker. Anyone who knows me especially at work knows that. I multi-task everywhere even at home. I wash my dishes while cooking something. I brush my teeth while I brush my hair and put some blush. One thing I hate is putting out the trash and cleaning the bathroom. So gross if you ask me. What scares me is the fact that I sleep alone. What if I die in my sleep and no one will notice that? So I've had to become a little more brave. Mostly I pretend I'm Jodie Foster in Panic Room.
As frightening as it can be, I treasure my time alone. Why? I can be as self-interested as I please. I could say that being away from home has a positive effect on me. Living alone, I've learned how to budget time, money and resources. I've learned how to deal with problems in practical ways. It has helped me develop more self-discipline and self-trust. In fact, it has drawn me closer to God because I consider Him my companion in survival. I'm 25, and as I feel myself drifting toward marriage and kids in the future, I'll look back on this time as a delicious, tiny window where I got to do whatever I wanted.

A modern-day Flickr fairy tale
By Pam Pastor Philippine Daily Inquirer

wrapped up in you by rosiehardy.
MANILA, Philippines—It is an unforgettable image—a couple on a bed in a soft embrace, wrapped in glowing fairy lights. It is a beautiful photo, that will be clear to anyone. But for the members of the Flickr community, it is so much more. It is a fairy tale come true.

Once upon a time, two people found their way to the photo-sharing website Flickr.com. The Flickr community continues to watch their story unfold, every photo they post is received with so much warmth.
Aaron and Rosie have been amazed at the support people online have shown them. Aaron said, "It's really amazing. It is hard to believe at times that so many people support us. Some have even said we have renewed their belief of love, I can't think of a bigger honor. It really feels as though the whole world is cheering us on, how could everything not be perfect with support like that?"

Rosie said, "It's outstanding. Incredible. The way other people have come together has really proved that love can overcome everything—age, 4500 miles, online relationships—not us. We have proved that we can overcome it as a couple, but the way people have reacted has shown that anybody at all can. And for that reason, these people have changed my attitudes about love and life, most definitely for the better." Their own families have been giving them the same kind of encouragement. One thing's for sure—this is going to be one story they can tell their grandkids over and over again.

Lather. Rinse. Save the world.

As The Zohan, comic superstar Adam Sandler gives up counter-terrorism to pursue his goal of making the world "silky smooth," in Columbia Pictures' new comedy, "
You Don't Mess With The Zohan."

New Comedy Warns You Dont Mess With The Zohan

As The Zohan, comic superstar Adam Sandler gives up counter-terrorism to pursue his goal of making the world "silky smooth," in Columbia Pictures' new comedy, "You Don't Mess With The Zohan."

Get ready for The Zohan! He's part secret agent, part hairstylist…but all man! Adam Sandler is The Zohan in Columbia Pictures' new comedy "You Don't Mess with The Zohan," the hilarious story of an Israeli Mossad agent who's practically superhuman in his ability to lay waste to Palestinian "terrorists." His parents praise him for being "Rembrandt with a grenade" and ridicule him for wanting to graduate to a more peaceful profession. Boy, those Middle Easterners sure do love violence, don't they? What a knee-slapper. Though he wants to put his life of counter-terrorism behind him, he quickly finds that it is not so easy to escape one's roots. Complications ensue as his Palestinian rival soon follows him to the Big Apple. Though he wants to put his life of counter-terrorism behind him, he quickly finds that it is not so easy to escape one's roots. As enemies old and new try to take him out, they will all come to learn the same thing: you don't mess with the Zohan.

You Don't Mess With The Zohan is the most perceptive analysis of the Middle East problem in the cinema, with crotch shots, hummus jokes, truly terrible hair, bad early 90s music, and Israeli hiphop. Its astute conclusion: War is 20 years behind the curve, so baduy—like disco with collateral damage. This film may well be the masterpiece of Adam Sandler's career, which has covered the rage of the golf pro in Happy Gilmore, the agony of the 80s New Wave in The Wedding Singer, the incipient humanity of Satan's retarded love child in Little Nicky, discrimination against poor reptile-eating white trash in The Waterboy, amnesia and the question of identity in 50 First Dates, and gay rights in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.

I loved how Adam Sandler was ridiculously funny here!  People who know Adam Sandler and have seen the trailer better know what to expect. Taken for what it is, it's actually a good fun film. Crass and dumb, yes - but don't we all expect that from the guy who brought us Little Nicky and Billy Madison? Although this one is a bit too crass even for Sandler's standards… and what is it with him and old women?? Zohan is actually witty and LOL-funny at times, which is a bonus.

"Zohan" also stars longtime Sandler collaborators Rob Schneider ("Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo," "The Animal") and John Turturro ("Transformers," "Anger Management," "Mr. Deeds") and exciting actress Emanuelle Chriqui (TV's "Entourage" and "The O.C.") and Nick Swardson.

Iniisip ko lang bakit kelangan pa-cute ang mga pick up lines. Ang alam ko, ang gusto ng ibang babae, 'yung may pagka-maginoong medyo brutal. These lines may be corny, but they could also put a smile on your face…easier than how the Joker would do it. Enjoy!

Pagod na pagod ka na siguro noh? Maghapon kna kasing tumatakbo sa isipan ko eh..
I'm a bee. Can you be my honey??
Minamalat na naman ang puso ko. Paano kasi, laging sinisigaw ang pangalan mo.
Hey, did you fart?? Coz you blew me away!!
Aanhin ko pa ang alak? Kung sa 'yo pa lang may tama na ko?
Pustiso ka ba?? Kasi, can't smile without you..
Me lisensya ka ba? Coz you're driving me crazy eh..
Can i take your picture?? Coz i want to show Santa exactly what i want for christmas!!
Exam ka ba?? Gustong gusto na kasi kitang i-take home eh!!
Lecture mo ba ako?? Lab kasi kita..
Centrum ka ba? Kasi you make my life complete!!
Miss pwede ba kita maging driver? Para ikaw na magpapatakbo ng buhay ko..
Mahilig ka ba sa asukal? Ang tamis kasi ng mga ngiti mo..
Pinaglihi ka ba sa keyboard? Kasi type kita..
I hate to say this but you are like my underwear. Coz I can't last a day without you!
Ibibili kita ng salbabida. Kasi malulunod ka sa pagmamahal ko..
Pwede ba kitang maging sidecar?
Am i a bad shooter? Coz i keep on missing you..
Naniniwala ka ba sa love at first sight? O gusto mong dumaan ulit ako??
Mabilis ka siguro sa mga puzzle noh? Kasi kakasimula pa lang ng araw ko, pero nabuo mo na agad.
Excuse me.. Are you a dictionary? Because you give meaning to my life..
Bangin ka ba? Nahuhulog kasi ako sa'yo..
May butas ba puso mo? Kasi natrap na ako sa loob, can't find my way out!!
Anung height mo?? Pano ka nagkasya sa loob ng puso ko.

Guy: Miss may ginagawa ka ba?
Miss: Wala. Bakit?
Guy: Tara, gawa tayo.

Sana "T" na lang ako. Para i'm always right next to "U"
Are you Jamaican? Kasi Ja-maican me crazy!!
Grabe nakakatawa yung mga pick-up lines noh? hahaha! May alam ka pa
bang iba? Wala na akong maisip eh. Coz all i ever think of is you.
Miss, hindi ka pa ba napapagod? Maghapon ka na kasing tumatakbo sa isipan ko.

Mahilig ka ba sa crayola? Ikaw kasi nagbibigay kulay sa buhay ko.
Exam ka ba? Gusto na kasi kitang i-take home!
Me lisensya ka ba? Coz you're driving me crazy.
Naniniwala ka ba sa love at first sight? O gusto mong dumaan ulit ako?
Hey, para ka namang kulangot, you're playing hard to get.

Peyborit fud mo ba ang Alpo? You're bitchier than my dog.
Para kang kuto, I can't get you out of my head.
Geometry ba favorite subject mo? Kasi kahit anong angle, ang cute mo.
Alam mo ba scientist ako? At IKAW ang LAB ko.
Ano height mo?
I'm a bee...Can you be my HONEY?
May license ka ba? Coz you are driving me crazy.
Athlete ka ba? Kanina ka pa kasi tumatakbo sa isip ko.
I'll report you to the police...Ninakaw mo ang puso ko.
Kumain ka ba ng asukal? Ang tamis kasi ng ngiti mo!
May lahi ka bang keyboard? Type kasi kita!
Ipapupulis kita! Ninakaw mo kasi ang puso ko!
Are you a dictionary? Kasi, you add meaning to my life
Meron ka bang lisensya? Kasi, you drive me crazy
I lost my number. Can I have yours?
Angel ba ang name mo? Kasi, you look like one.
I forgot your name. Can I call you mine?
Excuse me, kumain ka ba ng mais? Ang corny mo kasi!

Favorite subject mo ba ang trigonometry? Kasi kahit saang angle ang ganda mo eh!
May free time ka ba?
Can you recommend a good bank where I can make a deposit? Because I'm planning to save all my love for you.
Pwede ba kita maging driver? Para ikaw na magpapatakbo ng buhay ko.
Terorista ba tatay mo? Coz you're the bomb!

Wasak!

The Jolie-Pitts: United Colors Family
They are just 3 weeks old, but twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline are about to take the world by storm.

In an exclusive interview and photos, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie offer PEOPLE an intimate look at their growing family.

"It is chaos, but we are managing it and having a wonderful time," Jolie tells PEOPLE of daily life at the Château Miraval in Provence, France, where the couple's four older children – Maddox, 6, Pax, 4, Zahara, 3, and Shiloh, 2 – have been enjoying a summer of outdoor play (hide-and-seek is a favorite) on the château's sprawling grounds.

Adds Pitt: "[It's] still a cuckoo's nest."

Fortunately, they already have some household helpers. "[Shiloh] and Z pick out [the twins'] clothes and help change and hold them," says Jolie. "It's sweet – they are little mommies."
Now..If you're like me who can never get enough of the Jolie-Pitts, you gotta check this out. I have to give Chuvaness a hug for finding these online.

Here are scans from the Spanish magazine ¡Hola! which she swiped off Oh No They Didn't

Kakaloka ang Jolie-Pitts! Their family is like United Colors of Benetton! haha And OMG nman..Shiloh is the cutest celeb baby ever! Blonde version ni Angelina grabe. I want a little Shiloh of my own too!

Last night, despite the rains, Eric and I watched A Very Special Love the movie starring Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz. Call me baduy but I'm a sucker for anything with John Lloyd in it. Nuff said. Call it jologs, but I do not mind at all.

The movie, from start to finish, there was never a dragging moment, unlike the John Lloyd-Bea Alonzo tandem movies, which in most cases are heavy in drama. Sarah, in her role as Laida was hilarious, yes there were emo moments, lots of them. But what made Sarah a stand-out here was the comical and baduy side of the story. Most of the roles she played in the past were dramatic roles. For a change this time, John Lloyd’s role was not the usual ideal and lovable type of person, but one who was haughty, bossy and inconsiderate, full of hurt and hatred in his heart, making a monster out of him, not believing that he can be loved. He could not even love himself in the first place.

John Lloyd’s role as Miggy is a personification of someone number 2 who strives to be number 1, trying to prove himself in anything he does, something that he has grown up to, being a love child. Despite all these, Laida got to love Miggy, unconditionally. Admittedly, this unconditional love has to be given up when Laida finally gets tired of the seeming heart of stone that was in the person of Miggy. Of course as in most Filipino films, the ending was predictable, guy asked for forgiveness, girl forgave, but the script writers and director made it in such a way that holds Miggy and Laida, dear to the viewers’ eyes, the viewers crying with them, laughing with them, and guessing what the next sentence is of the new quotable quotes.

The movie leaves the question, “Pag ikaw ba nagmahal, dapat ka bang humingi ng kapalit na pagmamahal? Dapat mo bang antayin na mahalin ka pabalik?” Yes, the movie is full of quotes that one or the other from the audience can somehow relate to. Hear these out:

“Basta ang mahalaga di ka pa ubos. Andyan ka pa rin. Para pag dumating yung taong magmamahal sa yo, may maibabalik ka pa.”

“Because there’s so much pain in your heart, kaya hindi mo mararamdamang mahal kita.”

“Don’t make me feel I have to love you back.”

“Mapapagod ka lang umasa.Mapapagod ka lang maghintay Mapapagod ka lang umasang mamahalin ka.”

“Kahit minsan hindi ko naramdamang nakakapagod kang mahalin…Ngayon lang.”

A romantic comedy, megged by the 2007 Box Office Director Cathy Garcia-Molina, Star Cinema’s “A Very Special Love” is a must see for those in want of light diversion, a relaxed time, feel good, laughter, tears, and for some emo moments. The movie was kinda bitin for me..I dunno know why, maybe it's because the cast were great and blended perfectly with everything. This would be great if they make a teleserye out of it. Something light and funny for a change.

One thing that really strucked me in the movie was the billboard that Laida always gets to see everytime she goes to work. Funny thing was that was the billboard that Daphne (Osena-Paez) was referring to in her flickr! Now I get it! haha I recommend this movie if you want to just relax and have a little laugh.

Let’s support Filipino Movies! Nood na!

No to Homophobia

Re-posting from Multiply
I am the boy who never finished high school, because I got called a fag everyday

I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.

I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.

I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.

We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.

I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.

I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.

I am the man who fears that I will never be able to be myself, to be free of this secret because I won’t risk losing my family and friends.

We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.

I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.

I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.

I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.

I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.

I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.

I am the woman who died when the EMTs stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.

I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I didnt have to always deal with society hating me.

I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don’t believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.

I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.

I am the person ashamed to tell my own friends im a lesbian, because they constantly make fun of them.

I am the boy tied to a fence, beaten to a bloody pulp and left to die because two straight men wanted to “teach me a lesson”

Ang shogal ng results ng Optometry Board!!!! It's been 2 weeks and still no results?? Portugal tlga!!! I'm not even one of those who took the board pero OA nako mga-react dba? hehe

For the past week, I have been constantly checking online thru PRC, Inquirer, Manila Bulletin and Philippine Star for the results but I always go home empty-handed. Poor Eric can't sleep soundly as he always checks online and so is the rest of his batch who are anxiously waiting, some of them are becoming pessimistic about it. Their nerves are a total wreck so kawawa nman sila. Dinadaan na lang nila sa kulitan ung results.

I'm excited and a bit scared to see the results but how I wish and pray hard that Eric would pass the board. Para licensed Optometrist na si Doc Eric palaka! hahahaha Lumabas na ung results ng Nursing and Physical Theraphist Exams wala parin ung sa kanila.

Ano ba PRC..ilabas nyo na! Aw!! lol
