Lately, there's a big turn-aorund of the weather coz suddenly it became friggin' cold!!! Icy cold! Sarap matulog!! hehe I find myself waking up at 6:30 pm with my eyes bulging sa sarap ng tulog! But im getting sick also coz of the sudden climate change. Im having flu right now and knina im having fever na..my head's throbbing and im really cold now. sniff! sniff!

When i was a kid, i read a LOT. My mom made sure that i read a lot so i grew up reading Archie Comics, Adventures of Tin-Tin, X-Men, Sweet Valley High, Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys. That helped me a lot with my english. I had no problem reading english before i even went to school! Kya cguro wla akong mashadong alam sa filipino subjects ko and im totally lost when it comes to hard-core tagalog words. Natatameme lang ako. Weird ba? I find it easier for me to express myself in English rather that in Tagalog. Im not being conyo ha pero ganun lang kinalakihan ko. Oh well! I often get Librarian Award every year in grade school and high school coz i always check out a book everyday. I still read a lot though when i have time. Nanay, Arnie and I would always be preoccupied reading at home while Tatay is usually watching TV or is fast asleep and Pao is playing PS.

I lost track of the Veronica Mars episodes again! damn! The last time i was not able to watch them was the time when my tv broke down and i didn't watch tv for like a month!! And to think reruns na ung nsa etc ngaun ha! badtrep! I need to buy the Veronica Mars DVD's na!


It's the end of the month again..everybody here in the USWB Sales Dept. are all frantic and we are all racing to reach our goddamned quotas! Hell, i've been doing this for almost 3 years already and im sooooo used to this! Yet, i still feel the panicky feeling and i find myself beating the time. Im known for always being the buzzer beater, as in last minute sales! hehe Mas pressured tlga ako kc kelagan i-todo na ang powers for my team's production and its no mean feat ha! Masaket sa ulo! There will be CHANGES again..that means reshuffle again. New team, new people and new manager. Changes is good! A cliche' that im so used to by now. Oh well, bring it on!!!

I hate it when people don't say sorry especially when they have hurt someone. I hate it more when they pretend that it's as if nothing happened. I hate when its like no big deal and they just go on with their lives. They don't know that the person is hurting and they just expect them to be ok and just let the days past just like that.

You didn't even say sorry..so don't expect me to talk to you.

Several times my daughter had telephoned to say, "Mother, you must come to see the daffodils before they are over." I wanted to go, but it was a two-hour drive from Laguna to Lake Arrowhead "I will come next Tuesday", I promised a little reluctantly on her third call. Next Tuesday dawned cold and rainy. Still, I had promised, and reluctantly I drove there. When I finally walked into Carolyn's house I was welcomed by the joyful sounds of happy children. I delightedly hugged and greeted my grandchildren.

"Forget the daffodils, Carolyn! The road is invisible in these clouds and fog, and there is nothing in the world except you a nd these children that I want to see badly enough to drive another inch!" My daughter smiled calmly and said, "We drive in this all the time, Mother." "Well, you won't get me back on the road until it clears, and
then I'm heading for home!" I assured her. "But first we're going to see the daffodils. It's just a few blocks," Carolyn said. "I'll drive. I'm used to this." "Carolyn," I said sternly, "Please turn around." "It's all right, Mother, I promise. You will never forgive yourself if you miss this experience." After about twenty minutes, we turned onto a small gravel road and I saw a small church. On the far side of the church, I saw a hand lettered sign with an arrow that read, "Daffodil Garden." We got out of the car, each took a child's hand, and I followed Carolyn down the path. Then, as we turned a corner, I looked up and gasped. Before me lay the most glorious sight.

It looked as though someone had taken a great vat of gold and poured it over the mountain peak and its surrounding slopes. The flowers were planted in majestic, swirling patterns, great ribbons and swaths of deep orange, creamy white, lemon yellow, salmon pink, and saffron and butter yellow. Each different-colored variety was planted in large groups so that it swirled and flowed like its own river with its own unique hue. There were five acres of flowers.

"Who did this?" I asked Carolyn. "Just one woman," Carolyn answered. "She lives on the property. That's her home." Carolyn pointed to a well-kept A-frame house, small and modestly sitting in the midst of all that glory. We walked up to the house.

On the patio, we saw a poster. "Answers to the Questions I Know You Are Asking", was the headline. The first answer was a simple one. "50,000 bulbs," it read. The second answer was, "One at a time, by one woman. Two hands, two feet, and one brain." The third answer was, "Began in 1958."

For me, that moment was a life-changing experience. I thought of this woman whom I had never met, who, more than forty ye ars before, had begun, one bulb at a time, to bring her vision of beauty and joy to an obscure mountaintop. Planting one bulb at a time, year after year, this unknown woman had forever changed the world in which she lived. One day at a time, she had created something of extraordinary magnificence, beauty, and inspiration. The principle her daffodil garden taught is one of the greatest principles of celebration.

That is, learning to move toward our goals and desires one step at a time--often just one baby-step at time--and learning to love the doing, learning to use the accumulation of time. When we multiply tiny pieces of time with small increments of daily effort, we too will find we can accomplish magnificent things. We can change the world .

"It makes me sad in a way," I admitted to Carolyn. "What might I have accomplished if I had thought of a wonderful goal thirty-five or forty
years ago and had worked away at it 'one bulb at a time' through all those years? Just think what I might have been able to achieve!"

My daughter summed up the message of the day in her usual direct way.
"Start tomorrow," she said. She was right. It's so pointless to think of the lost hours of yesterdays. The way to make learning a lesson of celebration instead of a cause for regret is to only ask, "How can I put this to use today?"

Among the performers are Sponge Cola, Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikazee, Rivermaya, Itchyworms, Chicosci, UpDharmaDown, True Faith, Greyhoundz, Cynthia Alexander, Dicta License, Join the Club, Moonstar 88, Ciudad, Paramita, Makatha, Salindiwa, Swissy, Julianne, and Teeth. Francis Magalona, singer Kitchie Nadal and Razorback will also perform.

Stomp the Yard

I saw the preview last week sa ETC and the cast had a performance that ROCKED the show! I was in awe..i thought its just a thing coz the set was in Hollywood and Early Today show was there but they really rocked man! Plus they're in the movie pa so that made it more interesting..so im gonna watch the movie tlga when it comes out here! So far, the movie is the top on the US bOX OFFICE with $13.3 million beating Dreamgirls and Night at the Museum. Not bad huh?

Another best selling novel turned big screen movie. It was written by E.B White who is a popular children's book writer and the one who wrote Stuart Little. I just came across his book sa FULLY BOOKED in Gateway Mall a few weeks ago and it's amusing to read, very light and i had fun browsing the pages coz it has caricatures on it. The movie preview was also interesting and im looking forward to see it on the big screen. It has an all-star cast headed by Dakota Fanning, Julia Roberts as the wise spider and the cutest pig (who looks a lot like the pig in Babe).


Lately i have currently a thing for comic relief cartoons from Vimrod.com which usually depicts office humor and related stuffs like that. Wala lang..share ko lang. I think this has been very good for me coz im finding more ways to have an outlet for all my work related angst which keeps me sane..haha

This week has been full of office shit!! Damn, people here are so hypocrite and just too damn shitty!! Dko alam kung matatagalan ko pang mkitungo sa kanila. I don't usually mind them but people here are really starting to get in my nerves! I just want to scream and curse them into eternity! arrgghh!!! Umiinit 2loy ulo ko..badtrep! I don't know why some peole are just like that..full of crap! Im so full of angst today..obvious naman diba? I just wish i would be able to get thru this day without blasting my head off again.

Damn, i need a break! I want my days to past by like a blur para magweekend na. I have so many woes...poor me!

A billboard of a sexy bikini-clad woman was put up on EDSA, Manila's busiest thorough way, last week. Curly hair, pouty lips, and curvy everywhere, the woman in red is none other than young actress Roxanne Guinoo.

Demure, conservative, and very Filipina are words that describe Roxanne when she was just a Star Circle Quest contender in 2004. Several movies, teleseryes, and TV guestings later, the At Home Ka Dito co-host says she's ready to try more grown-up roles. Now, she is the newest endorser of a whiskey brand, White Castle.

After seeing on tv almost shocking me..Roxanne Guinoo is the new White Castle Girl. I know that she has her billboard somewhere and i have to see her pics! Mejo naintriga din ako kc bka dinaan nnaman sa photoshop ung pics nya pero in fairness her pics looks natural..if her pics were photoshopped..it was not overly done to the point na di na kapanipaniwala.

Manny Pacquiao was selected as the Ring Magazine's 2006 Fighter of the Year, according to the magazine's website, the www.thering-online.com.

The respected Ring Magazine Editor-in-Chief Nigel Collins says the “Bible” of boxing has officially named Manny Pacquiao the “Fighter of the Year” for 2006, adding to the many accolades received by the Filipino ring idol.
In an email to Viva Sports/Manila Standard Today, Collins noted that Pacquiao was “the first Asian boxer ever to win the Ring’s top honor.”

In its statement on the award Ring said it was “amazing what a little guy with a big smile and an even bigger punch can accomplish.” It noted that while the heavyweight division was bogged down by mediocrity last year, the junior lightweight class “soared to new heights thanks in large part to Manny Pacquiao, the Ring’s Fighter of the Year.”
The website, known as The Ring, explained that "Since The Ring originated the award in 1928, only six fighters below the lightweight division—Henry Armstrong (1937), Willie Pep (1945), Carlos Zarate (1977), Salvador Sanchez (1981), Michael Carbajal (1993), Paulie Ayala (1999) — have been previously selected for the magazine's top honor. Pacquiao is number seven."

"All of this came together in 2006 to make Pacquiao the Fighter of the Year—and the scary part is that he's still improving. With Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Edwin Valero all being talked about as possible opponents in 2007, Manny has a fighting chance of being back here again next year."

nkkainis..knina pa ako naghhanap ng movie posters sa internet pero wla ako mahanap! badtrep!

im supposed to do a movie review sa mga MMFF fils that i watched recently..feeling film critic ako eh hehe eric and i watched Enteng Kabisote 3 and Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo last week and i found the film ok..not very good though pero ok narin. Both movies fell short on the story kc parang bitin eh..it was definitely not what i expected. I mean, they could have done more dba? Ung ibang mga movies dinaan lang nila sa effects at bigating mga artista kya nasacrifice ung paggawa ng magandang kwento. Sayang..no wonder there are a lot of issues pagdating sa awards night. People questioning why they won this and they won that.

sheesh!

pero in fairnez ha...juday's acting was very nice and very well acted. i loved the way she acted her scenes especially nugn inaaway nya c ryan...true to life tlga hehe

omg!! i can't f*cking wait for this book to come out sa July 7, 2007 pa!!
